Changes

Life sometimes surprises you.

From leaving Spain madly sad and promising to go back as soon as I can, to delay my flight until the last minute and try to find new scholarships and excuses to stay in this marvellous country, as long as I can.

From suffer with no limit and beg to make things go better and tell to all the other that I'm ok and make them stop worrying about me, to be the happiest person in the world, but stay quiet because I don't want people that wanted my happiness before, start to be sick of me and get tired of my voice.

From having a real facility a fluidity with the Spanish language, to try to think for few minutes about the translation of self-esteem, word that I was kind of used to use it.

From living to study, to be afraid of studies to keep me away from living. And this is the greatest surprise.

Happy fat girl

Today I haven't prepared an appropriate post, but I think it is time to write something in this little part of my life.

My holidays have finished. Probably, the summer holidays that I'll remember the rest of my life. First of all, because they were during the months of December, January and February, something completely new for me, having lived in the north hemisphere for the first 22 years of my life. And second, because I've discovered a whole new world in front of me. As you all know, they started the November 28th when I had to abandoned my old apartment, place that I still miss, not so much because of the flat, but because of the people that used to live in there. After that, the things went like this:

- Two week in Sydney in the apartment of my Chileans.
- 12 days in Perth and the wonderful West Coast.
- 10 days in Sydney, spending the most incredible Christmas holidays and an amazing New Years Eve.
- January 5th, I started my road trip on the East Coast with Chris and Candee, for two weeks.
- January 21st, I flew to Melbourne to spend two weeks in the house of my two good friends, Jamie and Dan for two more week, being one of the best moments in my trip.
- February 4th, I landed in Hobart, Tasmania, to spend there 4 days, visiting the city and Port Arthur, and then, travel with a tour for 5 days around the island, with the best guide until now, John, and a group of people that made the trip perfect.
- February 12th, I came back to Sydney to move to my new apartment with my new flatmates (2 Danish guys and 3 girls, from Germany, Sweden and France).
- February 26th I took off from Sydney, to Honolulu at 6pm, and I arrived there, after a 9 hours flight, the same day at 6am.
- February 9th, 8:15 am, I left Hawaii to arrive to Sydney on February 10th at 4 pm, after 10 hours and 50 minutes of flight, with more than 5 hours of turbulences.

And now, here I am, writing a little resume of all. Every point will deserve a post. I hope I can keep the writing rhythm according with the thing that had happened to me.

About the tittle of the post. Yes, I'm fat. I've gained about 20 kilos since I left Spain. And yes, I'm happy.Life is easier if you can keep a smile in your face the whole day. But all these things, knowing my stressed mind, make me feel a little worried. I've discovered that I can live alone. Before leaving Spain, one part of my mind was dying for having company. That part seems to be more reasonable right now. Solitude is not something that I have to avoid over all. Even more, these last 8 months I'm enjoying it more than ever. Of course, you always think that the people that is in your country still love you and wait for you. But what if that doesn't happen? For me, it was the end of my world. But now, I think about it more coldly, and I know that I can start a new life from the beginning with no problem in any part of the world. I don't need roots. And that makes me be afraid, because someone so "free" has a lot of difficulties finding her place. May be mine is not in Australia, but I also doubt that it is in Spain Sometimes I get angry thinking that my people is forgeting me. Lately, I'm feeling angry because may be, is me the one that is forgeting.

Anyway, this is not an inspired post. Wait for the rest, when I'm in assented again, with my feet on the earth, instead my head on the clouds (literally, because since November 17th approximately, when Line had to go back suddenly to Denmark, I've been in an airport at least once every two weeks, with no exception)
